Geopat™ is an on-line quotation tool for an estimation of the costs associated with the national validation of European patents in the selected EPC countries.
Geopat™ is a tool developed by Leman Consulting S.A., a Patent and Trade Mark attorney firm, with specialists practicing in the fields of Engineering and Electronics, Chemistry and Biotechnology, Designs and Trade Marks. Leman Consulting S.A. is dedicated to providing high quality and creative solutions to their clients' intellectual property needs in respect of the personal information to which this Privacy Policy applies.
What information do we collect from visitors to the “Site”?
We collect information from you if you choose to contact us with an enquiry. The information we collect includes your contact details (such as name, company and email address) together with information that you provide to us including which topics are of interest to you and such other information we require to respond to your enquiry. We assume that any information you supply to us is accurate and up to date, that you will inform us if any such information removed or updated. If you submit a third party's details to us so that they receive communications from us, you must have that third party's permission to do so.
When visiting our site, our server records immediately the name of your access provider (check if true), the site from which you are accessing our pages, the site you are going through, the date and duration of your visit. The only personal data recorded is the one that you share on a free-will-basis through your subscription as a Geopat™ registered user.
How do we use your personal information?

Cookies and Email Tracking

Cookies are used by us to identify when a visit from a user of your computer is made to the “Site” and to keep track of your browsing patterns. We also use a "temporary cookie" each time you log on. Geopat™ tool is designed to assist applicants, IP agent and administrative staff in obtaining an on-line quotation for the costs associated with the national validation of European patents in the selected EPC countries.
Geopat™ tool is a quick and convenient way to obtain customized on-line quotations based on the particulars of a specific patent. We draw the attention of the clients and users that we made every effort to ensure, but cannot and does not guarantee, and makes no warranties as to, the accuracy of the quotation simulation. Therefore, this quotation information is non-binding and Leman Consulting S.A. assumes no liability or responsibility for any errors or omissions and further disclaims any liability of any nature for any loss howsoever caused in connection with using the Geopat™ tool without requesting a binding quotation.
However,
Geopat™ tool gives the opportunity to save your simulation and submit a request for a binding quotation through the
“pre-order” functionality for
Geopat™ registered users. A binding quotation will then be sent to the
Geopat™ registered user within 2 working days from the receipt of his/her on-line request. Quotations obtained through a simple simulation (without pre-order request) can not be used as a binding quotation.
We will elaborate a binding quotation through the submission of a pre-order request by a registered user, assuming that any information you supply to us concerning the patent particulars necessary to establish the quotation is accurate and up to date and that you will inform us if any such information does not correspond to the reality.
Geopat™
tool
gives also the possibility to
Geopat™ registered users to save contact details, past simulations and previously submitted pre-orders requests in their own account, which will avoid entering personal data each time a request for a binding quotation for a validation is needed. The registered users will be able to delete past simulations but NOT their previously submitted pre-orders requests.
Geopat™ tool is delivering quotations in Euros and a conversion in US dollars may be selected. The US dollar conversion is based on a the Euros/US dollar conversion rate as available which is indiated and that may not correspond to the today’s conversion rate. The prices on the binding quotation are binding in Euros, the US dollar conversion amount, being give for indicative purpose only.
Correct use of the
Geopat™ tool requires a good knowledge of the EPC procedure and does not replace professional advice from patent attorneys or patent agents.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RELATING TO GEOPAT™
All rights, title and interest in and relating to
Geopat™, including Intellectual Property for the calculating tool, database structure and content, belong to Leman Consulting S.A.. The trademark Geopat has been registered in Switzerland, subject to extensions to other countries. Use, reproduction, recording, publication, public exhibition or distribution of
Geopat™ or parts thereof are not authorised without express prior written consent from Leman Consulting S.A.
